The deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Kamchatka region endorsed the candidate proposed by the Governor Vladimir Ilukhin. The new Honored Citizen of Kamchatka region is Evgeniy Morozov, a creator and permanent leader of Kamchatka chapel choir. He is an author of the music of Kamchatka region anthem.
Evgeniy Morozov has been living in Kamchatka since 1965. Since 1979 he has been studying musical folklore of aboriginal people of Kamchatka. He was the first in Russia to make arrangements of Koryak, Aleut and Chukchi melodies for Academic choir.
