The construction of the new airport in Kamchatka project was presented at the NAIS-2017
The airport “Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Elizovo)” took part in the Russian National Aviation Infrastructure Show NAIS-2017 for the first time. The main Kamchatka airport was presented with the project of new international terminal construction. Everyone could get information about the tourism potential in Kamchatka Kray.

Maksim Sokolov, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation; Igor Levitin, Aide to the Russian President; Alexander Neradko, the Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency; Oleg Safonov, the Head of Federal Tourism Agency, visited the Kamchatka exposition on the first day.

“The participation in the NAIS-2017 exhibition has brought its benefits, – said the Head of the “International airport Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Elizovo)”. – We have managed to get a number of agreements on direct supplies of airfield equipment passing the supply chain and to organize training course for our staff. It was pleased to receive positive feedbacks from visitors and participants of the exhibition about Kamchatka Kray, in general, and the construction of the new airport. There is a great interest in Kamchatka, our tourism potential is in demand and there is no way to develop it without aviation”.

The Government of the region initiated the development project of the main air gait in Kamchatka. The project involves the construction of the new international terminal of over 24 thousand square meter, arrangement of the airport terminal square, construction of new service-technical objects and modernization the current ones. Construction cost of the first phase of the airport complex is 3.1 billion rubles.
